2019 Founder’s Day
The Hospital Founder’s Day which was also the 6th Year Anniversary of inauguration of the hospital to their permanent site was held on the 29th of November, 2019 with the theme “Healthy Community, Healthy Youth”. The event was a success as it recorded the presence of about 100 visitors including Umuowa Youths, representatives from health centers and hospitals within and outside the community. Pharmaceutical companies representatives and Rev Sisters were also in attendance.
The ceremony kicked off with welcome remarks by the Administrator, Sir Uyaeme Cletus. This was subsequently followed by lectures and many presentations by the nursing assistant students of the hospital. The first lecture was presented by Comr. Desmond Odunze, laying emphasis on Youths as leaders of Tomorrow. The second lecture was presented by Dr. Maryanne Joseph on the topic “The Role of the Youths in Maintaining a Healthy Society”. The lectures were concluded by the Medical Director who educated the youths and everyone present on the vision, mission and the future of the hospital which he tagged “Our Journey to Vision 2025.Finally awards were presented to some Umuowa Youths, encouraging them to join the train of the hospital vision and mission. The awards were presented by the representative of the President/ Founder (Rev. Fr. Dr. Sergus Duru )of the hospital Ichie Alloy Duruosimere.
