COVID-19 SURVEILLANCE

There has been an increase in the number of suspected cases of Covid 19 seen in the hospital. This may not be unconnected to the rise in oxygen consumption by patients who are dependent on oxygen. According to the Director of Clinical Services, Dr Clement Kaduru “The hospital has procured additional 20 big cylinders of Oxygen, and oxygen is available to all our patients that need it 247”.  The new Intensive Care Unit is fully functional and high dependency patients are cared for here.

Despite all these, the Covid 19 protocols are strictly observed in the hospital, and all the staff of the hospital has since remained safe.
