HIGH RISK OBSTETRICS SEMINAR FOR NURSES IN OUR HOSPITAL JULY 2023.
As part of the continued medical education and training series , our hospital organised a 3 days seminar on HIGH RISK OBSTETRIC CARE According to the Medical Director, Dr Obi Onukogu , “ High-risk obstetrics trainings play a crucial role in enhancing the knowledge and skills of nurses in the field of maternal-fetal healthcare. These specialized seminars provide valuable insights, updates, and best practices for managing complex pregnancies and deliveries. Speaking at seminar , the head of department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr Pius Agu explained that “ High-risk obstetrics seminars emphasize the importance of early detection and intervention in identifying potential complications. Nurses attending these seminars can learn to recognize warning signs and take prompt action, thereby reducing the risk of adverse outcomes.” The Director of Personnel and Human Resources also noted that ,” The knowledge gained from these seminars equips nurses to provide high-quality care, improve patient outcomes, and contribute to the overall advancement of maternal-fetal healthcare. “ Our hospital has become a reference hospital for all other hospitals in the region in the management and care of high risk obstetrics and neonatal care.
