The hospital community came together for a memorable End-of-Year Party and Christmas Cantata, an outdoor celebration that transitioned beautifully from a vibrant afternoon into a serene evening. The event marked the close of a productive year and served as a moment of reflection, gratitude, and shared joy among staff and their families.
Held in an open-air setting, the celebration created a relaxed and festive atmosphere where members of the hospital family bonded beyond the workplace. The programme featured a rich blend of music, performances, games, and presentations that highlighted the values of unity, service, and excellence that define the institution.
One of the most heart-warming highlights of the event was the performance by staff children, whose lively dances and playful presentations brought smiles, laughter, and excitement to the audience. Their performances added a unique family touch to the celebration and reinforced the hospital’s culture of inclusiveness and community.
The Christmas Cantata segment delivered soul-stirring renditions that reminded attendees of the true meaning of the season—love, hope, gratitude, and service to humanity. These musical presentations set a reflective tone and deepened the spirit of Christmas among participants.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Ms. Osinachi Ekeogu, expressed appreciation to all staff and volunteers who contributed to the success of the programme.
“This celebration is our way of saying thank you to every member of staff for their dedication and sacrifices throughout the year. Despite the demands of our work, we have shown that we are one family, united by purpose and compassion,” she said.A key moment of the evening was the presentation of end-of-year awards and gifts to deserving staff in recognition of outstanding performance, commitment, and professionalism. While presenting the awards, the Medical Director, Dr. Obi Onukogu, commended staff for their resilience and unwavering dedication to patient care.
“These awards are a small token of our appreciation for the exceptional work you do daily. Your commitment, teamwork, and passion continue to uphold the standards of our hospital and positively impact the lives of those we serve,” he remarked.Adding his goodwill, the President of the hospital, Fr. Sergius Duru, extended warm wishes to all staff and students, expressing appreciation for their contributions to the hospital’s mission over the year.
“I pray that the joy of this season fills your hearts and homes. Thank you for your service, dedication, and the sacrifices you make to care for others,” he said. The celebration concluded with shared laughter, gift exchanges, and renewed bonds among staff, leaving lasting memories and reinforcing the hospital’s spirit of gratitude and unity. The hospital extends warm Christmas wishes and best wishes for a prosperous New Year to all staff, partners, and stakeholders, as it looks forward to another year of service and excellence.
