The hospital ambulance is used for emergency evacuation and inter-hospital transfer of patients. It is also used in transferring patients to other health care centres that need urgent referral. We have a bigger Mercedes Mobile Clinic ambulance and a smaller Nissan emergency response ambulance. A smaller Volvo ambulance is also available, which is used as a hearse for carrying corpses. The hospital drivers are responsible for these services.
