Eye Care Services
St. Mary’s Children and Community Hospital Eye Centre is an eye centre in a comfortable and friendly environment, with great staff, facility and equipment eager to cater for your eye care and vision needs.
With the team of highly skilled eye doctors (both Ophthalmologists and Optometrists) working in the eye centre, the eye centre also work with other eye doctors around the world and works in collaboration with Ama Foundation Kaduna, to deliver the best eye care service to humanity.
We offer a wide range preventive, curative and rehabilitative eye care services that address the eye care needs of patients in our environment.
In addition, we also offer eye care devices such as prescription of eye glasses, contact lenses, sunglasses, safety wear and other eye care products required for optimal eye health and visual function.
It is notable to know also that we offer surgical services that help to ameliorate the most challenging and devastating diseases suffered by many individuals in our society and around the word such as cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery and management and many others.
SERVICES RENDERED INCLUDE:
GENERAL EYE EXAMINATION:
The eye centre offers comprehensive eye examination comprising of numerous eye tests aimed at assessing visual function and determining the health status of our patient’s eye.
TREATMENT AND CARE OF EYE DISEASES:
Following the outcome of the examination, assessments and considerations, we offer the most suitable preventative treatment rehabilitation and surgical option for our patients. These ranges from provision of eye glasses, vision aids, eye drops, oral medications, minor and major procedures and follow up treatments.
OPTICAL SERVICES:
The eye centre among many other things care about how her patients see and look with their glasses, contact lenses and other optical devices and this is the more reason we offer a broad range of lenses and frames to suit different budgets and fitter done properly.
SURGICAL SERVICES:
Our eye centre offer a very wide range of surgical services just as mentioned earlier; Aim is to provide maximized vision to our patients who have lost hope of seeing from most of the eye condition that can lead to partial or permanent vision loss which includes – cataract, glaucoma, pterrigium and many others.
EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMS:
Having the best interest of our patient at heart, we also inculcate in our patients the knowledge and skills they need to care for their eyes, from eye health and safety education to self management. We ensure that they have all the need to make the right eye health decisions.
In order to achieve these, we also offer regular community outreach programs around the state and beyond, reach the under-privileged with quality and affordable eye care services, enlightenment program to churches, school visitation and many others.
CONSULTATION
Among the numerous services and activities we render, we also provide consulting services which includes advisory services, occupational visions assessment and correction of safety program development, training, dispensing and fitting of protective eye wear. Our patients are always assured of the safety of their eyes at work especially now we that we live in the era of computers and visual system.
