WORLD HYPERTENSION DAY 17TH MAY 2021

The World Hypertension League (WHL), annually promotes World Hypertension Day on May 17 2021.

This year’s WHD theme is Measure Your Blood Pressure, Control It, Live Longer.

It is with the goal of increasing high blood pressure (BP) awareness in all populations around the world and a focus on accurate BP measurement.

Our hospital joined other health care providers to carry out this campaign for the so purpose of reaching out to the masses and creating proper awareness about the dangers of hypertension also teach the people the risk factors of hypertension and ways to prevent it.

“We hope this campaign will encourage more adults to check their blood pressure,” says Dr Ebenezer Adiukwu, a medical officer at our hospital.

At St Marys , to celebrate the WORLD HYPERTENSION DAY, we offered FREE blood pressure check in our outpatient clinics to all patients , and free blood pressure counseling  for the rest of this month MAY.
