CELEBRATES WORLD SIGHT DAY 2020 THEME: HOPE IN SIGHT
World Sight Day is observed annually on the second Thursday of October. It is a global event meant to draw attention on blindness and vision impairment. It has since been integrated into vision 2020 and is coordinated by IAPB in cooperation with WHO. It is the main advocacy event for raising awareness about blindness and vision impairment. This year’s theme for the World Sight Day is HOPE IN SIGHT.
OUR PRIMARY INTEREST ON THIS YEAR’S WORLD SIGHT DAY
Our focus on this year’s world sight day is on MYOPIA. Myopia is one of the major causes of preventable blindness. This condition is mostly seen in children, young adults and to lesser degree the elderly.
On this special day, we have decided to boost the hope of the general populace, by providing a free Eye examination for all.
