ST MARY’S CHILDREN AND COMMUNITY HOSPITAL CELEBRATES WORLD HYPERTENSION DAY – 17 MAY, 2022
In observance of World Hypertension Day 2022 – commemorated every May 17th, our hospital organized a one-day awareness seminar on the 17th of May, 2022.
The Theme was “Measure your Blood Pressure Accurately, Control it, Live Longer”
The seminar focused more on the low rate of awareness of hypertension within the community, promote accurate blood pressure measurement methods, and underscored the importance of improving hypertension control to live longer and healthy. The hospital further created awareness using their social media handle.
Speaking on the event, the hospital superintendent medical officer Dr. Ofoego Ndubuisi stated that “hypertension can go unnoticed for a very long period of time so it is important to check your blood pressure regularly and accurately for a long-life span”.
The event also featured a FREE blood pressure test.
